About Laura

There are a lot of new people on this email list and I wanted to take the opportunity to re-introduce myself and tell you a bit more about how I got into weddings.

My life-long commitment to weddings and event planning was fated. Growing up, my grandmother owned a wedding venue. I was always drawn to the space, so much so that I began managing it while still in high school. It was a passion that never left, and led me to plan and execute weddings and events in 15 different countries. In addition to 20 years of experience, my background includes working as a Project Manager in New York City, which has informed the organizational skills that make my events so seamless.

After working in the corporate world, planning and executing events for companies both in house and as a consultant, I decided to make the leap and start Love, Laura. We started with planning and coordination services and a year later we added florals and design to our offerings.

My favorite…

Part of a wedding: The vows! I love it when couples write their own vows, especially when they are a good mix of romantic and funny.

Part of the planning process: Designing the flowers. I love creating a design that is unique for each of our couples so that when guests walk into their wedding they think “this feels so them”.

Wedding we have planned: This is like having to choose a favorite child! I love that each of our weddings are unique and beautiful all in their own ways. If I had to choose a few favorites: Babba + Carl’s 3 Day Love Fest on a private island in Sweden would be up there. I also loved planning this summer fete in Rhode Island, we incorporated a lot of personal touches, such as featuring Emily + Max’s dog on the invite.
